Though I'm an Ohio native, I've also called Montana and California home and have dreams of belonging to other places like the East Coast, Paris, Thailand and Africa if only just for a few days or weeks. I love truly getting to know a place by running through foreign neighborhoods and stopping for a nibble at every corner. I'm a journalist by trade and an artist at heart but I think it all goes back to a love for writing, learning and trying to understand people and places. Food is a dear passion of mine and while some see my vegetarianism as a limitation to the food world, I believe it unlocks so many vibrant doors. My husband shares this foodie passion. We may encourage each other too much when it comes to trying new plates but it's such a rewarding experience to start with skepticism and finish enlightened and satiated, both in belly and heart.
